Gentrification is a rising tide forever altering the face of our urban landscape. As the city of Melbourne, expands the effect upon the social structures of surrounding neighbourhoods is present not only in architecture, but also in the social class of residences. In our pursuit of idyllic lifestyle what is lost?
Made specifically for the 2015 Artland, Moreland, End of the line, is made from found material sourced from the surrounding area. Featuring a pair of rough diamonds fishing into a drain, End of the line, is a reflection upon change and also a tip of the hat to those inbeded characters who who are the heart and soul of our outer suburbs.
